On behalf of the Pacific Polymer Federation we would like to extend a warm invitation to you to attend the 11th Pacific Polymer Conference (PPC11) in Cairns, Australia 6 - 11 December 2009.
PPC11 will be a major international gathering of polymer scientists and engineers. All aspects of our profession will be covered in a comprehensive program, including modern polymerization methodologies, living free radical polymerization, complex polymer architectures, functional polymers, nano-composites, traditional composites, electro- and optico-active polymers, polymers in biology and medicine, polymers at interfaces and surfaces, polymer engineering, polymer rheology, polymer processing, mechanical properties and polymer characterization.
A major theme will be a re-examination of the goals and predictions made at the dawning of the new millennium - Progress in Polymers for the New Millennium.
The organising committee will bring together leading scientists in these fields from all member countries of the Pacific Polymer Federation. Invitations to speakers are being issued now and details of the confirmed speakers will be posted on the conference web page.
The venue, Cairns, is one of Australia's major tourist attractions, being the gateway to World Heritage Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. The program will include time to visit these natural treasures.
We hope to see you in Cairns in 2009!
Andrew Whittaker and Wayne Cook (Conference Co-Chairs)
