초대의 글

최근 소동물 영상(Small Animal Imaging)에 대한 관심이 나날이 증가하고, 이의 응용 또한 기초 의약학 및 전 임상 연구, 생명과학분야에까지 확장되어 가고 있습니다. 외국에서는 이미 Small Animal Imaging Resource Program에 국가적 지원을 넘어 제약회사를 비롯한 사립기관의 지원도 증가하는 추세입니다. 이 프로그램은 여러 전공분야의 연구 접근방식과 분석방법을 통합한 협력연구를 지원하고 시너지 효과로 인한 창의적인 연구를 지원할 뿐 아니라 기존 연구의 효율을 증가시키는 새로운 파라다임을 형성한 현대과학의 집중이라 할 수 있습니다.
금번 국제 심포지움은 국내에서는 아직도 생소한 분야인 “Magnetic Resonance를 이용한 Small Animal Imaging”의 다양한 기술과 응용을 소개하고 이를 통합적으로 발전시키는 계기를 마련하고자 개최하게 되었습니다. 국내외 석학을 모시고 Functional, Molecular, Metabolic MRI 분야와 Molecular Probe개발의 기본 원리, 최신 연구동향, 임상적용에 관한 포괄적인 내용을 소개하고자 하며, 발표자 참석자간의 활발한 학술 교류의 기회를 만들고자 합니다. 의과대학, 자연과학대학, 생명과학대학과 공과대학 교수님과 학생, 국공립 연구소와 제약회사 연구소 연구자들의 많은 관심과 참석 부탁드립니다.
