Quadrant Award 2013
International award for scientific papers in the field of engineering and high-performance plastics and composites


Have you received your PhD after September 30, 2010? Would you like to enter your thesis in an international award competition? Prizes of EUR 15 000 (1st) and EUR 5 000 (other finalists) await the winners.


For the fifth time, Quadrant is to confer an international award on January 25, 2013, for outstanding academic achievement in the field of


"Materials and processes related to engineering and high-performance plastics and composites"


The PhD theses submitted will be evaluated by an international jury of experts.


Theses submitted at a recognized university and accepted between October 1, 2010, and September 30, 2012, (date of certificate) may be entered for the "Quadrant Award 2013".


Suggest to your professor that your thesis be submitted and forward your application including the following documentary material to us by September 30, 2012:


(a) one page summary of the doctoral thesis in English (format A4/Letter) and in addition maximum one page of figures, for further explanation of the paper
(b) letter of recommendation from the professor supervising your thesis
(c) copy of the degree certificate you received for your thesis
(d) application form
(e) list of publications
(f) preprint of your most recognized publication in a scientific journal
Those applicants who are nominated by the jury for the shortlist will be invited to the awards presentation ceremony, prior to which they will have an opportunity to present their papers. The presentation ceremony will take place at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland, on Friday, January 25, 2013. Quadrant will meet the cost of travel, board and lodging.
