On behalf of the organising committee I would like to invite you to attend the 4th International Conference on BioNano Innovation (ICBNI 2017) to be held at The University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, from Sunday 24th to Wednesday 27th September 2017.

The ICBNI 2017 will present the latest advances in the most exciting and commercially-promising area of science and engineering: the interface between the biological and physical sciences at the nanoscale. Around 500 scientific leaders will attend this exciting event.

A strong and diverse program on polymeric materials is being assembled - accordingly we would like to invite you to submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation to the program. https://icbni.com.au/abstracts

The 3.5-day event is being held within the impressive Advanced Engineering building on the University of Queensland St Lucia campus. The program is built around five key themes:
• Nanomedicine
• Stem Cells Science and Therapies
• Energy and the Environment
• Biotechnologies
o Industrial Biotechnology
o Biologic Medicines
• Fundamentals of Nanobio - supporting the technologies
More details of the program can be found on the conference web site: www.icbni.com.au.

The structure of the program will demonstrate the translational aspects of the bio-nano sciences, commencing with addressing fundamental scientific questions but progressing through aspects such as pre-clinical applications, clinical translation and commercialisation.

A number of world-leading scientists have agreed to present at ICBNI 2017, including Elizabeth Blackburn, 2009 Nobel laureate in physiology and medicine. Outstanding speakers have been arranged for each of the conference themes, including the plenary speakers:
• Prof Elizabeth Blackburn (Salk Institute – telomeres and ageing)
• Prof Yi Cui (Stanford University – energy materials)
• Prof Ian Frazer (University of Queensland – vaccine delivery)
• Prof Melissa Little (Murdoch Childrens Research Institute – stem cells)
• Prof Heather Maynard (UCLA – nanomedicines)
• Prof Geri Richmond (University of Oregon – energy and environment)
• Prof Sam Stupp (Northwestern University – supramolecular protein assembly)

In addition, the program will feature around 50 invited keynote speakers, and contributed talks and posters from world-leaders in these fields. As mentioned above we now call for submissions to the program of oral and poster presentations. https://icbni.com.au/abstracts

We look forward to your participation in this exciting conference on translational science and technology.

Yours sincerely,
Andrew Whittaker and Steve Mahler (Co-chairs ICBNI 2017).
